Space is sound and sound is space. tuning into this relationship is a path to hidden worlds and fully meeting the present. Finding the self through sound is a lifelong journey.
For nearly a decade Lou has worked as a sound designer, dialogue editor, composer, podcaster, and musician. His musical moniker Man Happens released a debut album in 2025 titled Outside Head Dance. Lou is also one of the guitarists and creative forces behind Museums.
As an archivist, Lou works with various analog sound media (reel to reel tape, vinyl, cassette) – incorporating these formats into his creative work as well. He is also a builder of sound making devices such as contact microphones and pipe chimes. Lou holds an MA in Media Studies from Concordia University – having researched listening positionalities in soundscape ecology. Beyond recording, he has led workshops on ecological listening and taught sound production.
